Grafcet celebrated its twentieth birthday in 1997. Several generations of researchers, industrial managers and teachers have succeeded one another to enable this modelling tool for sequential evolutions of a logical system to exist, to spread, to be standardized, taught and used but also to evolve progressively while respecting in the best way the knowledge acquired in the past.
